Your kimchi isn't fermenting, or so it looks. No hiss, no bubbles, nothing, three days after you packed the jar. A silent lid is almost never the actual problem. It's usually just the wrong thing to be watching. Three things genuinely control whether a batch ferments: how much salt is in it, how warm the room is, and how you're reading the jar.
